Allow me to introduce myself, My name is Raven (but you can call me Rae if you want) I draw a lot, and I very recently came to terms with how much I like drawing. I'm in love with drawing and I really want to make a full time career out of it by experimenting with various techniques, art styles learn how to sew cos play, write comic books and do other artsy things, I also want to create bigger projects that I'm proud (like maybe create my own animated series or movies of and eventually get to the professional level that I wanna be at. I believe that with time, patients and critiquing from you guys will help me improve and help me towards my goals as a wannabe animator, comic book artist, and indie game developer.
Here are some things that you should expect to come for the rest of this year and most of next year, since I'm in community college my uploading schedule will be limited but not impossible to do since I'll have classes only three days out of the week so I will be primarily uploading my finished art at least twice per week. Since i will be doing an art class for the fall semester I will also upload the projects done in class, there are also possibilities of me getting a part time job throughout the semester but if/when that happens I will either update you on that with another journal or with a status update. When I am able to find a better laptop (that is powerful enough for my art projects and my schoolwork) I plan on practicing 3D modeling and animation and uploading my progression to my gallery and my other forms of social media to be up for commentary and critiques.
Here are some big projects that I have in mind that i hope to release early next year. I have approximately three comic projects that I would like to produce for you guys, all three of them have very peculiar story lines that normally ties in together sort of like a fable, every story has a lesson that is taught in the end. I want to start off by uploading my character concepts and background concepts for each comic project, once each project gets enough hype I will reveal the release date one project at a time. Each project will most likely be uploaded directly to my gallery and to Tapastic (once I figure out how to format my comic strips). As I improve on my anatomy and shading skills (since school will help me improve drastically) I want to start practicing my animating skills, I'm not really sure what program I would want to use to help me animate so I may use Photoshop's animation tool for the time being. my goal is to upload my animated drawings to my gallery and maybe do some voice over animations and upload them to You Tube, we'll see as the year goes on of course. By the end of this year or early next year I want to invest some of my time in RPG maker games mainly to get a taste of developing something that can be a potential horror game or action game so I will be doing character concepts for RPG maker styled (and maybe even Unity Engine styled) games, once I get more practice with unity and rpg maker I will move onto other engines.
So yes, I have a lot of goals in mind and honestly I'm not sure where my goals will lead me but I hope Im going in the right direction because I have so much I want to do in such a short time. Most of all I want myself and YOU GUYS to enjoy what I put out there and I really hope that you guys can stick with me for the rest of the way.
Wish me luck and always follow your dreams
